Aline Chretien was born on May 14, 1936, in Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada. Her father, Yvonne Chainé, was a hairdresser and her mother, Albert Chainé, used to work at the local power plant as a laborer.
Aline spent her childhood in poverty. She used to study at a convent school and was a bright student. Later, at the age of 35, Aline completed her education for the bilingual secretary from Shawinigan Business School. She had a grip on Spanish and Italian Languages. She was a pianist as well.
She married Jean Chretien in September 1957. She worked as a secretary, payroll manager, and model for some fashion photoshoots. When Mr. Jean became the 20th PM of Canada, she was well known for her intelligence and strong will, and support she extended to him throughout his tenure.

Aline Chretien was well known for her strong will, advisory both in and outside politics, and her dignity. She was a role model for many people out there.
She died on September 12, 2020. Aline Chretien Cause of Death was Alzheimer’s disease. She was 84 at the time of her death.
